Charisse Hurst is a Houston-based Medicare and Medicaid planning professional who helps individuals and families navigate the financial and care challenges that come with aging, chronic illness, and long-term care needs.
With over a decade of experience in Medicare education and retirement planning, Charisse has worked with countless families who believed Medicare would cover long-term care—only to discover the gaps too late. That experience led her to specialize in Medicaid long-term care planning, helping families understand their options, protect assets when possible, and create realistic paths forward when care is needed now.
Charisse is a Certified Medicaid Planner (CMP), a National Social Security Advisor (NSSA), and a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She is also the host of the podcast Outsmarting the Cost of Long-Term Care, where she shares practical education and real-world insights that families rarely hear.
Through Echo Consulting, Charisse is committed to providing clear guidance, compassionate support, and honest answers—so families can make informed decisions without fear, confusion, or unnecessary financial loss.
